Backal Hospitality Group is proud to support our community, give back to organizations that impact the livelihood of our team and industry, and foster professional development within our people through Backal Gives Back. We organize service projects and fundraising efforts throughout the year, giving our team the opportunity to support missions closely connected to their lives, build connections with our community and colleagues, and gain access to the tools needed to be successful in life and work. At BHG, we are family.
Community Service
BHG established Thank Our Heroes in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to show our support for front line workers. We continue this work by serving our local public servants in NYC with delicious meals and treats to sustain them while on duty. We believe in keeping our communities clean, fed, and vibrant. BHG has venues throughout NYC and expanding into other markets in the US. We coordinate periodic all-staff volunteer days to support local parks, soup kitchens, and / or homeless shelters.
Fundraising
BHG aims to support the work of organizations that impact our team through fundraising initiatives. We select a charity that is meaningful to our team and raise funds as a fun competition for a good cause.
Personal & Professional Development
We aim to arm our employees with the tools they need to navigate difficult situations in their personal lives and at work through mental health awareness days, CPR training, and self-defense among other workshops.
Who better to arm the next generation with the tools they need to succeed in hospitality than our team! We believe in sharing our collective knowledge through mentorship events.
